Weave Reality was recently featured in Adressa in connection with City Council member Lars Viko Gaupset testing Weave Maps at the Trondheim City Planning Office, where he shared his thoughts on how new technology can strengthen efforts to ensure good urban development. The article is behind a paywall, but we share some excerpts here.
Ahmad Gashamy at the Trondheim City Planning Office says, for example:
A planning case consists of a lot of text, but what you end up with is a structure. Here you can see what is actually proposed.
Lars Viko Gaupset adds the following when testing Weave Maps:
Wow! It's just like I'm standing and looking up at the brewery. It's absolutely fantastic, exclaims the MDG politician when he stands outside E.C. Dahls Brewery.
and
You get the feeling that you are there in a way. It gives a completely different experience than reading a document.
The journalist follows up by asking: Do you think it can become easier for politicians to be sure of their decisions?
Yes, I think so. It's difficult to be completely sure, but it provides a slightly different perspective and a better basis for decision-making, says Gaupset.
This is, of course, a very encouraging mention and motivating feedback to take with us in further development.
