What does the optimal tool for situational awareness and discussion exercises look like? To find the answer, we at Weave Reality have teamed up with some of the most forward-thinking professional environments in the country. Together, we will redefine how emergency services train.

We are pleased to announce that we have entered into a strategic collaboration with Trøndelag Fire and Rescue Service IKS, Rogaland Fire and Rescue IKS, and Sandefjord Fire and Rescue. With support from Innovation Norway, we will, through a joint innovation project, build upon our platform to create what we call a digital 3D game board.

From static maps to dynamic 3D worlds

The goal of the project is to develop Weave Maps to become the preferred tool for game and discussion exercises. Many may have wondered how technology from the gaming world can be transferred to critical emergency preparedness, and that is exactly what we are exploring now.

Through Weave Maps, emergency services gain full freedom to:

• Create their own scenarios: Build exactly the exercises they want in a photorealistic 3D world.

• Interact with the environment: Place objects, simulate events, and test tactics in safe, digital surroundings.

• Auto-generate learning: The system makes it possible to record the exercise and automatically generate reports based on the discussions that took place.

The user actively involved in the development

At Weave, we believe that close collaboration with those who will actually use the tool is the very key to success. Without curious and technology-interested pioneers in the public sector, it would have been impossible to develop solutions that meet the real needs in the field.

We have already gained invaluable insight and concrete feedback on new functionality from key personnel such as Sverre Hogstad, Rune Hundere, and Oscar Eliassen. Their experience from the operational daily routine ensures that we are building a product that not only looks good but actually makes a difference when learning is to be converted into an operational context.

A joint journey towards increased public safety

Our goal is for this project to be a part of strengthening situational awareness and preparedness in Norwegian municipalities. By combining our technological platform with the deep professional expertise of the fire departments in Trøndelag, Rogaland, and Sandefjord, we are laying the foundation for a new standard in training and collaboration.
